Professional Sound and PA System Solutions for Places of Worship

Mississauga Chinese Christian Church

In worship, every word matters. Every note carries meaning. Bose Professional worship sound solutions deliver the clarity and warmth that help congregations connect more deeply with sermons, scripture, and song.

Clarity That Carries the Message
Worship spaces are often acoustically challenging, with reflective surfaces and soaring architecture. Our column arrays, beam-steering loudspeakers, and advanced DSP focus sound exactly where it’s needed — ensuring programs are understood and music is heard with richness and balance, even in reverberant spaces.

Sound That Respects the Space
Sacred spaces should inspire visually as well as spiritually. That’s why our loudspeakers are designed to blend into architecture, preserving the beauty of the environment while filling it with consistent, balanced sound.

Flexible for Every Style of Worship

Some congregations emphasize spoken word, others rely on choirs, bands, or organs, and many blend traditional and contemporary elements. Bose Professional solutions scale to fit every style, supporting everything from intimate prayer services to high-energy worship productions.

Challenges & Initial Conditions

  • Insufficient Volume & Coverage: The legacy sound system lacked the dynamic range and output capacity needed for full-room coverage, resulting in low overall volume during services.

  • Unbalanced Acoustics: Frequency response across the main floor was inconsistent, leaving noticeable dead zones and uneven sound pressure levels between the front and rear seating areas.

  • Limited Visual Impact: Existing flat-panel television displays were too small for the room dimensions, causing poor text legibility for scripture, lyrics, and media feeds from back rows.

1. Project Overview & Challenges

Mississauga Chinese Christian Church required an upgrade to its primary worship sanctuary to resolve acoustic unevenness, low volume headroom, and poor visual coverage.

  • Audio Bottlenecks: The previous speaker array suffered from limited output capacity, resulting in poor speech intelligibility during sermons and unbalanced frequency distribution across the main seating floor.

  • Visual Constraints: Legacy flat-panel televisions lacked sufficient display area for back-row congregants to read scripture and worship lyrics clearly.

2. Technical System Specifications

Audio System Configuration & Power

  • Main Loudspeakers: Bose ArenaMatch Utility AMU208 (Passive 2-way, Dual 8" woofers + EMB2S compression driver, 300W long-term power handling @ 8Ω).

  • Low-Frequency Extension: Dual 18-inch High-Output Subwoofers (800W RMS / 3200W Peak @ 8Ω each).

  • DSP Processing: Dedicated Digital Signal Processor providing loudspeaker voicing, active crossover filters (80Hz High-Pass / Low-Pass split), parametric EQ alignment, and limiter protection.

4. Video Signal Flow & Display Architecture

To replace the underpowered TV displays, a dual-projection system was installed with synchronized signal routing.

  • Signal Extension: HDMI over HDBaseT transmitters over shielded Cat6a cables to support long cable runs from the AV booth to the ceiling-mounted projectors without signal degradation.

  • Displays: Dual 120-inch motorized projection screens paired with twin 4,000-lumen laser projectors to deliver high-contrast text and crisp video visibility under full sanctuary lighting.

5. Summary of System Improvements

  1. Uniform Sound Coverage: The Bose AMU208 array combined with the high-output subwoofers provided full-frequency clarity and eliminated acoustic dead zones on the main floor.

  2. Dynamic Range & Headroom: Matched amplifier power ensures speech intelligibility during sermons while providing dynamic bass response for live worship bands.

  3. Visual Accessibility: Dual 120-inch projection screens deliver high-definition presentation capabilities accessible from all seating areas in the main sanctuary.
